con moto - our training system
Trainings and further education for bondings
At bonding you can develop personally and effectively. con moto is our internal training system. Everyone at bonding can participate for free, you don't have to be a member of the association (more information here: Interested in bonding). The training content often goes beyond what you learn in university, and teaches you soft and hard skills from a wide range of topics.
bonding has many trainers (most of them are trained bondings or members of our partner initiatives) who pass on their knowledge to the 'next generation'.
In our trainings you will learn, among other things:
Note: If you're looking for our external student training, you can find it in our Events & Projects
Club history
1988
The year of foundation
On 10th February, ten students of RWTH Aachen sign the constitution of the bonding-students initiative e.V. and lay the foundation for a nationwide network of young students who want to offer their fellow students opportunities to gain valuable insights into possible career fields during their studies. On 25.11.1988, the 1st bonding fair takes place in Aachen - back then in a gymnasium with 27 companies.
1995
It lives!
Just a few months after its founding, like-minded people are found throughout Germany and Karlsruhe, Duisburg, Stuttgart, Braunschweig, Dresden, and Berlin follow within the first 3 years. In addition, the bonding support group and the alumni organization bonding Alumni were established.
1995
The Cologne Round
In the early years, there was still plenty of room to explore new paths. Representatives of bonding, AIESEC Germany, ELSA Germany, MARKET TEAM, and MTP thought so at the time when they founded the 'Kölner Runde' in 1991. The goal was to act as an inter-initiative mouthpiece for engaged students and to promote a platform for the exchange of initiatives among each other. Later, the BDSU e.V. and the Biotechnological Student Initiative btS joined.
Today, the Kölner Runde appears as the Association of German Student Initiatives (VDSI) and aims to represent the interests of all engaged students in the long term.
2000
With a tailwind into the new millennium
Despite the closure of the university group in Duisburg in the spring of 1996, the association was able to continue to grow steadily. This was followed by the founding of Hamburg and Erlangen in 1997, Bochum in 1998, and Kaiserslautern in 1999. In addition to contacts in Germany, the association began cooperation with the Board of European Students of Technology on 01.05.1997 and has been active in European countries since then. With our so-called European Workshops, we combine academic education and cultural exchange with participants from all over Europe.
2005
Go big or go home
With good intentions, we continued. With the inauguration of our renovated clubhouse, the treehouse, we now have a shared space for training weekends, team building, and work meetings. In addition, we constantly try out new concepts such as the first bonding Industry Night, our first nationwide case study competition, and the first nationwide Engineering Competition. The founding of the Munich university group in 2005 completed the Start-11.
2023
Here's to the next 35 years
For over 35 years, we have been offering students the opportunity to look beyond the boundaries of their studies. Our student groups organize over a hundred free events annually, including the largest construction competition, the largest student-organized company contact fair, and new projects are added every year. Our core values have not changed much since then, and we are proud to be a successful independent student organization with our events.
